Gugulethu Mbatha (better known by the name Gugu-Mbatha Raw) is an British actor and film actress who became famous for her role in the BBC show "Doctor Who", the British science-fiction TV series. Gugu was famous due to her character Tish Jones. Tish Jones was the character's sister. At the beginning of her career Handler began her stand-up career in the Oxygen network, which was an all-female cast on an undiscovered camera/real-life joke show on TV called Girls Behaving badly. It ran from 2002 to2005. Handler then started appearing in other programs such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started working for The Tonight Show as a reporter. Handler achieved her first big break in 2006 by hosting her E! show. named The Chelsea Handler Show. The Chelsea Handler show ran for two years. Handler was a part of Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the next year in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend & HBO have broadcast Handler's standup performance. In 2010, she was tapped to host the 2010. MTV Video Music Awards. This made her only the second female to host the VMA's following Roseanne Barr.
