Adrienne Barbeau

  

Adrienne Jo Barbeau, born June 11, 1945 was an American actress, singer and writer. In the 1970s, she was Broadway's first Rizzo in Grease. She was also the character Carol Traynor on Maude (1972-1978) as the divorcée daughter of Maude Findlay (played here by Bea Arthur). She began her career in science-fiction and horror films in 1980. This included Escape from New York (1981), Creepshow (822) and Swamp Thing (1982). Her most famous role was being the voice of Catwoman in Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995) as well as later animated shows. In the 2000s, she appeared in the HBO series Carnivale (2003-2005) as Ruthie.
